Gulfstream’s new jet

What is probably the world’s most advanced dedicated executive jet has been certificated by US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA).

Gulfstream Aerospace ultra-large-cabin, ultra-long-range Gulfstream G650 business-jet aircraft is priced at US$65m and has a range of 8,000 miles making Los Angeles and Singapore both easily obtainable non-stop from London.  The aircraft cruises at mach 0.925, quicker than commercial airliners, and can reach 51,000ft, well above the norm.  The cabin layout allows for a maximum 18 passengers, but 8/10 is more the usual layout.  The cabin is 6ft 5ins high.

The company has received more than 200 orders for the aircraft.  It is a development of the G500 series, popular with governments and also civil operators. www.gulfstream.com
