Embraer hotel?

Whilst the Olympic Games of 2016 might seem a long way away, Brazil stays in the headlines with the soccer World Cup in 2014, and also Embraer building on its position as the world’s fourth largest aircraft producer.

With São José dos Campos, Embraer’s home, just one hour’s drive away the Botanique Hotel & Spa, Campos do Jordão, opens in November.

Set in 700 acres, the intimate retreat will comprise 11 private villas and six suites.  Additionally there will be the first 100% Brazilian spa in the country, as well as a restaurant, private movie theatre, stables with horses of Olympic standard, library and cookery school.

The intimate retreat, the first of its kind in the country, showcases the best of Brazil with indigenous design, furnishings, culture, cuisine, and experiences.  There will be both indoor and outdoor swimming pools.

Located 125 miles or two hours’ drive north of São Paulo and three hours from Rio, Campos do Jordão lies in the green peaks of the Mantiqueira Mountains and is Brazil’s highest town.  With year-round spring-like temperatures, the chalet-dotted resort is an idyllic weekend escape for chic São Paulo city-dwellers – the ‘Hamptons’ of Brazil.  The hotel is seven miles outside the town. www.botanique.com.br
