Now it may be that other airlines offer the same function but the innovative low-cost airline flydubai claims to be the first to announce a facility enabling travellers to book and pay for flights on their handheld.

With all the functionality of the normal flydubai booking process clients can choose their seats, purchase checked baggage and select insurance.  Payment is safe and secure using either Visa or Mastercard.  Alternatively, passengers can choose the pay later option allowing cash purchases via one of more than a 1,000 payment partners in the UAE.

Users can access to-the-minute flight status information, including arrival and departure times as well as journey duration – a useful tool for both flydubai customers and anyone collecting or dropping off friends and family at the airport.
