Qatar 787 at Farnborough

Boeing has confirmed the 787 Dreamliner participation for the first time in the Farnborough International Airshow flying display this week.  This will be a major part of the manufacturer's show contribution.  The aircraft will also be available for viewing (by arrangement) in the static display every morning and is bound to arouse great interest.  The new Business Class seats (seen by BTN at the Business Travel Market) are a quantum leap in cabin accommodation.

This particular aircraft, the first for the airline, is also due to take part in a series of technical flights in the Gulf region before coming on the London – Doha route in September, the date yet to be announced.

Also on the civil front, Boeing will display a Korean Air 737-900ER showcasing the Sky Interior features, but most interest is likely to be around the new 737 MAX with a full-scale model of the Advanced Technology winglet which will be on view in the Boeing static display area. www.farnborough.com/trade-welcome www.boeing.com/commercial
