A reporter phones up AERBT (sex not disclosed).

“I’ve been told you are one of the most helpful persons around,” starts the conversation.

“Well I try to be,” your Editor responds.

“I’ve heard that such and such airline is going from four engines to two in a bid to cut fuel costs.”

“That is true,” is the response.

“But if they were to fly with one engine surely they would save even more fuel,” says the newspaper person.

“Yes, but what happens if that one engine goes wrong?” is the retort. 

The temptation to say that gliders are even more energy efficient was not used!
