Gatwick gains Lufthansa

Frankfurt is to be linked to Gatwick by Lufthansa from the start of the winter season on 30 October.  A two-class Boeing 737-500 will be used for the services.  Over 50% of the seats are expected to be taken up by business travellers.

Guy Stephenson, Gatwick Airport’s Commercial Director said: “Around 1.5m passengers travel to Frankfurt from London each year so we expect a good take up on this route from Gatwick.”

In other news Gatwick is soon to introduce premium parking in its newly opened short stay car park at the North Terminal which will allow time-strapped business people the quickest route – under two minutes – from their vehicle to check-in.  A new concierge service will also ensure they receive the very best in customer-service and speed. www.lufthansa.com www.gatwickairport.com
