Readers in the Midlands might like to know that Britain’s (and possibly the world’s) current oldest operational jet aircraft, a Gloster Meteor T7 built in 1949, is likely to position from the former RAF Kemble to AIRBASE at Coventry Airport on Tuesday morning (8 July).
