Hertz welcomes children

Children are being made welcome at Hertz Heathrow facility, part of a £2.5m upgrade.

The car rental giant has transformed its Heathrow facility to focus on what it calls “enhancing the customer experience.”  To further improve sustainability initiatives as part of a global station refurbishment programme, Hertz has incorporated new customer service pods – shorter and lower counters which allow Hertz staff to come around the counter and interact freely with customers.  New wall signage and LCD screens with their predominant yellow theme, and Hertz's brand ambassador Horatio, all help to provide a warm and cheerful welcome to customers.  The location design also includes a range of energy-saving and environmentally friendly initiatives including lighting systems featuring low-energy fixtures; LEDs and motion sensors in order to minimise consumption; energy-efficient heating, ventilation and air-conditioning system; and car washes which are specially equipped to save water.

A special new feature is the Disney-themed children’s play area, developed in co-operation with Disney.  Hertz has recently celebrated its 15-year partnership anniversary with Disneyland Paris, and the two companies have extended their relationship for another five years.  Hertz says it hopes to be able to replicate the Disney play area at other key locations in the future. www.hertz.com
