Viking Hellas, the independent privately owned Greek airline, has rescheduled its twice weekly service between Manchester and Athens in order to directly connect with its flights to Erbil and Sulaimayniah in Iraq. The flights will operate from 1 April until 30 September using an Airbus A320 aircraft. The airline serves both these cities via Athens also from Amsterdam, Frankfurt and Stockholm.
The airline currently flies a pair of single class 180-seat Airbus A321s and a 165-seat McDonnell Douglas MD83. Established in 2009, and technically a charter airline, Viking Hellas plans to rebrand itself as Flyhellas in April 2011. Long established Flight Directors Scheduled Services Ltd is the UK GSA. www.flightdirectors.com
