Ethiopian Airlines to join Star Alliance

Star Alliance's Chief Executive Board has unanimously approved the application of Ethiopian Airlines to join the alliance.  Ethiopian Airlines will be the third African member of the alliance after South African Airways and Egyptair.  The airline will add five new countries, Chad, Congo, Djibouti, Mali and Niger to the Star Alliance network. 

The integration teams of Ethiopian Airlines and the mentoring teams of Lufthansa and the Star Alliance will begin work of integrating processes of the airline; the aim is to complete the membership process within 12 months. www.staralliance.com www.ethiopianairlines.com
