Penzance Helicopters

There will be a change of operators for the helicopter service between Penzance and the Isles of Scillies in November.

The route operates year-round between Penzance and the islands of Tresco and St Mary’s on the Isles of Scilly and has been flown by Sloane Helicopters with a 12-passenger AW139 since it was launched in March 2020 at the start of the pandemic.

Taking over is Fairoaks-registered Starspeed Ltd, one of the largest VIP helicopter operators worldwide and registered since 1978   The Starspeed fleet includes the smaller AW169 which can be flown single crew making it more viable than the larger Augusta.
