Other than his airline, Michael O’Leary’s real major interest seems to be horses.
To his credit Ryanair has become the official carrier of a midsummer evening 5km charity run from ExCeL around Docklands and Royal Docks with London City Airport very much in view. And as readers will surely know Ryanair’s Boeing 737 can’t work the airport.
British Irish-Airports EXPO is calling all air transport industry runners to come forward and run 5k to help rescue Ukrainian Children with Cancer.
The event takes place at 17:30 on 22 June, at the end of the first day of the show with a target of 1,000 industry runners and £50,000 donations. £10,000 has already been surpassed. O’Leary is not expected to actually take part, but might turn up.
