Foreign travel is now easier for people in the UK than at any time since the beginning of the pandemic. However, there are still regulations about who can enter most countries, restrictions on what you can do when you get there, and presently rules to follow when you return home.BTN cannot emphasise enough that the rules do keep changing and it is vital to keep checking the Foreign Office guidance and tourist information for your destination before you go.
With the USA it is more or less ‘open house’, the Editor-in-Chief is travelling to Los Angeles next week and will discover the situation and report back on his TWITTER feed once landside in the United States. Prior to Christmas he flew in from Qatar and found the UK entry form, which the air carrier is responsible for, difficult to complete. Hopefully this will change shortly. The BBC has a simple site to explain the situation for the popular destinations. The UK Foreign Office is usually up to date but even they can be caught out.
