This Freddie Laker conceived Aviation Traders' Carvair lost its brakes landing at Collingstown Airport (now Dublin International) on a Saturday in September 1965. It blocked the main road to the City.
Later in the day it was towed to a hangar and inspected. After minor repairs on the Monday it flew off to Stansted for a proper check. G-AOFW continued to fly for British United until being finally broken up at Southend in December 1983.
