Just 12 months after the demise of Flybe, Belfast City Airport’s then largest carrier, Ryanair has returned after an 11-year absence. The UK’s highly successful rollout of their vaccination programme, which has seen almost 35% of the adult population of Northern Ireland already inoculated, gives NI consumers confidence that summer travel will be possible. Much will depend on the rules on the day of travel for Italy and Spain.
The Ryanair Boeing 737-800s will offer the largest seat capacity per aircraft out of George Best Airport by some margin with 189 seats.
The Dublin-based airline, Europe’s largest, is introducing eight new routes for this coming summer.
The destinations are:
Alicante | 7 times a week |
Barcelona | 5 times a week |
Faro | 7 times a week |
Ibiza | 2 times a week |
Malaga | 7 times a week |
Mallorca | 7 times a week |
Milan Bergamo | 2 times a week |
Valencia | 2 times a week |
