Aviation Club 2020 finale – A VIP speaker

International Air Transport Association's (IATA) Director General and CEO, Alexandre de Juniac, will deliver the final lunch speech of the year at the Aviation Club of the United Kingdom on Tuesday 15 December, not from the elegant surroundings of the Royal Automobile Club London, but seated in his Geneva offices.

At the end of next March de Juniac steps down having held the post since 2016.  He hands over to Willie Walsh.

Clearly de Juniac will reminisce, until last February conducting business in his usual diplomatic way as one would expect from a protégé of the École Polytechnique, the leading French technical university, and an ex-CEO of Air France.

If 9/11 was an immense shock, how do you describe the slow burn that is Covid-19?  De Juniac has proved to be a stalwart captain, the supreme spokesman for IATA and the airline industry.  His words will be carefully chosen.  It has been a terrible nine months.

Free registration for the webinar is now open.  A Q&A will follow.  Chairman Karl Brünjes will no doubt conclude the event with best wishes for the future.  Having spoken to members back in February 2017 and already a Club tie owner, this time perhaps Champagne will be on its way.
