Some you would have heard of, Flybe for example, some not so. There are also others that are best described as ‘precarious’ but BTN will not list these as, whilst they are on the ‘danger’ list, they might find new strength, and we don’t want the lawyers after us.

One headline-grabbing story was an around-the-world flight about 10 years ago by UA, I think. A friend was actually hired for cabin crew training before hearing the news that it would not happen. Any else remember?

I am amazed with so many. And what about those who announced plans and got no further. What is worrying is carriers flying today who are insolvent. Years back they would have been grounded. Well done the creditors.
