Aviation Club chairman’s appointment

Ardavon, the French aviation investment and asset management company, has a new chief operating officer in Karl Brünjes, chairman of the Aviation Club of the United Kingdom since 2019.

Karl has been involved in the trading, financing and management of commercial aircraft for over 30 years and has held senior positions at Fortis Aviation Group, IBA Group, Republic Financial and RPK Capital.

“More than ever, in today’s environment, people want clear and reliable input to make informed decisions,” says Dr Mohamed El-Boraï, Ardavon chairman and CEO.  “His vast experience in the trading, financing and management of commercial aircraft will prove invaluable to the development and growth of Ardavon and its sister company Relaer.”

Ardavon’s management team has collective experience of over 84 aircraft transactions involving 215 aircraft with 72 airlines worldwide. Relaer has served over 200 clients stretching across the whole industry spectrum from airlines to OEMs, from financial entities to MROs, across the globe.  Relaer has delivered over 800 new Airbus aircraft and is considered the industry leader in this field.

Karl Brünjes said: “These turbulent times call for financial, technical and airline expertise that combined provide turn-key asset management solutions.  Ardavon’s team have all lived through difficult times in aviation before and their wide-ranging experience, combined with Relaer’s technical know-how, ensures Ardavon is perfectly placed to provide this service; I’m very excited to be here."
