New dates for Airports Expo

Organisers of this year’s British-Irish Airports Expo, which was to have been held on 9 June (BTN last week) have rescheduled to 5-6 October. The event will still be at ExCeL London, still with seven free-to-attend conferences and 100-plus speakers.

The speakers are due to include Flybe former CEO Mark Anderson delivering the opening keynote address and a second keynote on the carbon emissions debate for Expo’s Flagship Conference by Committee on Climate Change CEO Chris Stark.

Actress and TV personality Joanna Lumley will also still be appearing in her special guest role as official starter for the British-Irish Airports Expo Royal Docks charity run.

The new dates have been fixed following talks with the hosting airport coalition of Heathrow, Gatwick, MAG-Stansted and London City Airport, with the British Aviation Group and the Regional and Business Airports Group.

The stakeholders say the new date later in the autumn will allow the core airport partners to maintain “an undistracted focus” on Expo’s operational, safety and commercial interests held in common.

Delegates who have already registered do not need to do so again as all registrations have been modified to the new schedule and attendees will automatically receive updates.
