Business travellers are being offered what is being called a new luxury option in the heart of Manhattan with the opening by Conrad Hotels & Resorts of the 54-floor, 562-suite Conrad New York Midtown. It is the brand’s second property in New York.
The hotel (below), at 151 West 54th St, the former site of the London NYC, and has had a complete renovation with a residential theme designed to show guests what it would feel like to live in the city.
Hilton executive vice president and president, Americas Danny Hughes said: “We are thrilled to expand our portfolio of luxury hotels in the Americas with this opening.
“As travel to New York City continues to grow, this hotel’s prime location, large suites, curated art collection and culinary offerings will give global business and leisure travellers a new luxury option in the heart of Manhattan.”
Hospitality design company Stonehill Taylor said its approach was to produce a hotel “as an expression of calm elegance – grand, lavish and comfortable”.
Hilton executive vice-president and global head of luxury and lifestyle Martin Rinck said: “The hotel has a contemporary design that when paired with personalised, intuitive service will truly inspire the globally connected traveller.”
