The introduction of a new Boeing B787-9 Dreamliner double-daily service between London and Bahrain by Gulf Air was celebrated last week with a special gathering at the Arts Club in Mayfair.
Guests included ambassadors and members of the diplomatic corps in the UK of countries served by Gulf Air, owners and managing directors of some of the biggest UK travel companies and leading British trade partners.
CEO Krešimir Kučko and UK country manager Rashid Al Gaoud used the occasion to share information about the airline’s latest products and services and improvements planned following the B787-9’s introduction.
Kučko said: “Gulf Air has had strong ties with the UK since we began flying to London in 1970. It is a key destination for business and leisure passengers, and I am delighted to introduce our newest Dreamliner double-daily service on the route.”
Gulf Air's Dreamliner has 26 seats in Falcon Gold Class and 256 in Economy. The airline says enhanced two-way connectivity enables regional passengers to connect seamlessly via Bahrain to London and UK-based travellers flying non-stop to Bahrain for onward connections to key cities throughout the Middle East, Africa, India and the Far East.
