Radisson Blu Antwerp new look

A major refurbishment programme which began early last year and has involved an investment of more than €9m has been completed at the Radisson Blu hotel in Antwerp, giving the building a new look and feel.

The project covered every element of the property, resulting in two new restaurants, an enhanced meetings and events offering, an upgraded leisure centre and public area and the arrival of a Starbucks on the ground floor.

General manager Jacqueline Struik said: “We’re delighted to be able to showcase what is almost a completely new building. The extensive renovations have created a stylish and contemporary space that positions us as one of Antwerp’s leading hotels.

“With our location directly opposite the Central Station, our new-look product, and our renowned ‘Yes I Can!’ service, everything is now in place for us to build and grow.”

The project design by architect Alex Kravetz pays tribute to the heritage and original designs of the hotel by Michael Graves, one of the pioneers of neo-modernism architecture in the US.

Each of the 253 guest bedrooms and apartments has been upgraded and in-room technology enhanced with the addition of smart TVs, and the Radisson Blu brand’s signature fast and free wi-fi.
