A new three-class cabin interior for the Airbus A330 fleet is on the way from Brussels Airlines, part of the Lufthansa Group, with London-based JPA Design commissioned to do the work.
Tanguy Cartuyvels: Aiming for 'top-notch comfort'
JPA director of transport John Tighe said the design team, which is also charged with revamping carpets, curtains, lighting, bulkheads and lavatories on the aircraft, spent "a great deal of time getting to know the carrier, its people and the culture of Belgium".
He added: "We've discovered the warmth of the locals, the focus on being sociable, the love of their iconic comic characters, and the quirkiness of the unique 'Belgitude' character."
Brussels Airlines vice-president of product and marketing Tanguy Cartuyvels said the cabin refurbishment would “not only reflect the airline’s DNA but also offer our guests top-notch comfort". The carrier has four A330-200s and six A300-300s in service.
