A new service designed to make duty-free shopping easier has been launched at Belfast International Airport in partnership with Aelia Duty Free.
The newly-introduced ‘Shop & Collect’ service means passengers can complete their purchases other than alcohol and tobacco at Aelia and arrange to have them transferred free to secure lockers in Arrivals. The items are collected when passengers complete their return journeys.
Airport commercial services manager Deidre Graffin said: “This is a hassle-free service to make shopping a lot easier. It puts passengers in control and gives them the comfort of knowing their purchases are in good hands, awaiting their return.”
“It is ideal for people buying perfumes, gifts and cosmetics and especially useful for passengers travelling with hand luggage as there is no restriction on the number of items they can buy when using this service.”
Aelia Duty Free store manager Michele Hunter added: “It’s a very convenient innovation that enhances the passenger experience at Belfast International. It has already received warm approval from shoppers and we are confident it will prove popular.”
