Now Primera adds Toronto

Year-round direct flights between Stansted and Toronto are being launched by Scandinavian carrier Primera Air next June. There will be three flights a week, adding to Primera’s new daily services to New York Newark from April and four flights a week to Boston from May (BTN 24 July).

Flights to all three destinations will be operated by Primera's new Airbus A321neo aircraft with passengers offered a choice of two cabins, full-service Premium and low-fare Economy.

President and chairman Andri Ingolfsson said: "We are opening routes previously traditionally served only by wide-body aircraft. The unmatched efficiency of the new-generation fleet means we can offer unprecedented prices to passengers between the UK and North America.”

Stansted chief executive Ken O'Toole added: "Primera's new service to Toronto is yet another fantastic addition to Stansted's rapidly-growing route network hot on the heels of the coming launch of direct flights to New York and Boston.

"We're delighted Primera has chosen Stansted and recognised the airport offers the primary growth opportunity in the London market over the next 15 years. We look forward to further developing our global connectivity, trade opportunities and more choice."
