AND FINALLY: Celebrating with CTT

Swedish company CTT Systems held its annual gathering last week to mark another year of business, with sales and marketing vice-president Peter Landquist hosting an invited audience at the London restaurant club Le Beaujolais.

The company, which provides aerospace products for active humidity control in the aircraft cabins (humidification) and fuselages (non-condensation), was marking a particularly successful year, crowned by a big order to equip the B777X.

Master of ceremonies Richard Birtchnell, in traditional garb, rose to the occasion with a few lines to welcome everybody. Definitely worth a wider audience, so here it is:

Bonjour and Välkommen to this special occasion

With friends, food and wine incontestably amazing

But my first duty calls me to welcome you here

To toast and applaud such a wonderful year

Well, it’s been a year that’s seen great success

With trading results that are simply the best

And it’s all down to systems that cope with humidity

Regardless of class or personal liquidity!

You’ve reached your one hundredth CAIR system to date

And twenty five years of ZONAL DRYING – that’s great!

And now a big coup with the triple-seven X

It’s hard to imagine what you’re cooking up next!

And that’s where our host Peter Landquist comes in

He drives CTT to compete and then win

His marketing skills are undoubtedly steady

A skill WE could use as the UK gets ready

What a year we’ve got coming, we’ll say ‘yea’or ‘nay’

To Corbyn or Farron or ‘matriarch’ May

Whatever the outcome we hope that they’ll fix it

So we all stay good friends when we finally ‘Brexit’

But back to the present et je vous invite

Dear guests, eat and drink and bon appetit!

Our tables are laden to fulfil our needs

All thanks to CTT – those generous Swedes!
