Billed as Europe’s largest specialised exhibition and conference for industry buyers and managers, the 2017 Business Travel Show is on track to open its doors at Olympia, London, on 22-23 February, with organisers already setting the scene by revealing new statistics about the sector.
These include the fact that a poll carried out in collaboration with the Association of Serviced Apartment Providers (ASAP) by the show, which this year attracted 260 suppliers and 7,730 attendees, has shown a significant leap in 2016 in the use of serviced apartments by business-travel buyers.
The event has also increased its investment in innovation by doubling the size of the Launchpad feature, meaning up to 15 business-travel start-ups could exhibit free at the 2017 event.
BTS 2017 will again feature a comprehensive conference programme with more than 60 thought-provoking sessions catering for all levels and knowledge requirements, from the fundamentals of travel buying to the in-depth Masterclasses.
The show comes hard on the heels of the inaugural Business Travel Summit Amsterdam, which organisers have hailed a success, with 182 delegates attending the two-day conference and exhibition. A follow-up edition has been confirmed for next October.
