Gate 8 cabin bag solution

A company set up to ease frustrations felt by business travellers, particularly over luggage, has produced the world’s first carry-on hybrid cabin bag with detachable laptop case.

The Cabin Mate, produced by Gate 8 Luggage, is described by the company as "a wheeled multi-functional backpack carry-on cabin bag designed for tech travellers". The zip-off laptop mini-backpack compartment enables users to keep their tech and personal essentials by their side and leave their main bag in the overhead locker.

Gate 8 founder Alistair Callender said: “Business travel doesn't need to be an epic chore. Forget the queuing, forget the stress of waiting to check in your bags and forget the creased garments at the other end.

Gate 8 says the bag, one of a range of airline-friendly luggage, is built to the exact dimensions to fit the restrictions for 99% of airlines, including easyJet, Ryanair, BA and Monarch.
