Big US expansion for Air Canada

Six new non-stop US services are to be launched by Air Canada from next spring. They include flights from San Antonio, Memphis and Savannah to Toronto, Dallas-Fort Worth to Montreal, and Denver to Vancouver. In addition, the existing winter-only service between Phoenix and Vancouver will now operate year-round.

President passenger airlines, Air Canada, Benjamin Smith said: “Canada is the leader in the Canada-US transborder market and the foreign carrier flying the most to the US. “Along with access to Canada’s largest cities from major US centres, these new services will present passengers with options to travel onward on our domestic and international network by connecting easily through our major airport hubs.”

The new non-stop services will be operated by Air Canada Express starting in May and continue year-round, except for Toronto – Savannah, which will operate on a summer seasonal basis.

All routes will be operated with regional jet aircraft, with flights timed to connect with Air Canada’s domestic and international schedule.

All flights provide for Star Alliance reciprocal benefits, Aeroplan air-miles accumulation and redemption and, for eligible customers, priority check-in, Maple Leaf Lounge access at Air Canada’s hubs, priority boarding and other benefits.
