Pulitzer Amsterdam

Following its partial opening at the start of the year (See BTN 25 January) the Pulitzer Amsterdam is now fully functioning, the remarkable regeneration of 25 interlinked 17th and 18th century canal houses, within what is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Sitting canal side the property blends traditional and modern Dutch craftsmanship and service, offering 225 guest rooms, meeting and event spaces as well as an authentic restaurant and bar showcasing local tastes.  The Pulitzer gardens occupy a surprising green oasis nestled at the centre of the hotel.  Away from the hustle and bustle of the city, it is described as a tranquil hideaway to relax, work or socialize among seasonal plants and playful sculptures.

Each room provides free wi-fi, a vintage telephone, Le Labo amenities, a custom-made minibar with cocktail mixing facilities and a bike repair set to complete the experience of the Dutch capital.  However any clients that use the bikes offered would not be expected to mend a broken machine.
