He lived in the impressive Hauteville House, 38 Hauteville, Saint Peter Port, up a steep hill.
Prospective visitors should note that is not open on Wednesdays, is owned by the City of Paris, and will take only sterling (£8) for the entry fee, which must be booked in advance.
