Air Canada non-stop to Brisbane

Non-stop flights between Vancouver and Brisbane, Australia, were launched by Air Canada last week as a prelude to the start of daily year-round service from 17 June.

The airline is using a B787 Dreamliner on the 11,860km (6,409nmi) route, which has a flight time of about 14hr 30min and is the only non-stop service linking Canada and Queensland.

The Dreamliner has a three-class configuration with 20 lie-flat seat suites in International Business Class. Premium Economy has 21 seats and Economy has 210. Upgraded in-flight entertainment is provided at every seat.

Flights are timed for optimum connectivity to and from Air Canada's North America network through the Vancouver hub, while also offering good connections across Australia from Brisbane.

The new service is part of Air Canada's continuing international expansion this year, following the recent launch of flights between Toronto and Gatwick and between Toronto and Prague.

The airline is also launching new international services this summer linking Toronto and Budapest, Warsaw, Glasgow and Seoul, plus Montreal – Casablanca, Montreal – Lyon and Vancouver – Dublin flights.

Last year, Air Canada launched international services between Toronto and Delhi, Amsterdam and Dubai, between Montreal and Venice and Mexico City and between Vancouver and Osaka.
