bmi regional is the latest airline to announce its presence at Southampton Airport, joining newcomers KLM, Aer Lingus and Volotea, a Spanish carrier established in 2012 with a fleet of 19 Boeing 717.
Long-standing resident Flybe continues to expand its routes with a daily Lyon service intoduced 23 May.
Yesterday (14 March) saw the introduction of an Aer Lingus service to Cork operating Monday, Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
On 27 March Flybe will begin to serve Paris CDG on a daily basis.
April 15 will see a bmi inaugural to Munich followed by 16 May KLM to Amsterdam (both twice daily plus a single flight at the weekend), with Flybe beginning its daily Lyon flight 23 May followed by Toulon 2 July and Biarritz 3 July. The Volotea service to Palma on a Wednesday and Sunday starts on 29 May. www.southamptonairport.com
