Parking in London

Live information on the number of parking spaces available in London Underground car parks, as well as improved traffic camera information that will help drivers avoid disruption, are the latest open data feeds to be released by Transport for London (TfL) to help make journeys easier for customers.

The data, available free of charge, is being released as part of TfL’s commitment to make the information it holds openly available to create better products and services that can be brought to customers quickly.

Nearly 500 third party apps are now powered by TfL's live open data, helping Londoners and visitors to plan their journeys, offering video ‘jamcams’ together with live Underground car park data.

Information about all 61 London Underground station car parks is available online, including location, cost and the number of spaces.  Every bus stop now has a location number and it is very easy to download when the next bus is due and its onward route.

Nothing is perfect.  Edgware bus and tube stations are metres apart but for buses no electronic timetable is available at all.  You wait and hope!  The tube indicator board is not repeated in the bus waiting room nor in the near-by Broadwalk Shopping Centre.  www.tfl.gov.uk/trafficnews
