IHG has unveiled the first UK Holiday Inn Express properties to feature its ‘next-generation’ hotel concept.
The new design – which was “modelled entirely on guest insight” – has now been implemented at the new build Holiday Inn Express Grimsby and three refurbished properties. At Park Royal and Ealing in West London and at Portsmouth – North
The hotel lobby, dining area and guest rooms have been redesigned, the brand’s service delivery completely revamped and a new food and beverage concept launched. Holiday Inn says guests can enjoy the hotel’s most innovative and efficient smart technological solutions at every stage of their stay.
Located in an integrated lobby and food and beverage experience, is a new Express Café & Bar an inviting ‘pit-stop’ for guests offering what is termed “simple, honest food done well”.
With the accommodation the ‘Next Generation’ guest room has been designed to balance home comforts with smart design features. Features include Smart TVs and there is a larger, cosier, bed with a padded, noise-reducing headboard providing back support for working or watching television in bed.
The Next Generation guest experience will also be launching across Europe. The plan is for at least one in every four of the brand’s European properties to feature it within the next three years. www.ihg.com/holidayinnexpress
