Ryanair’s new interiors

The garish yellow is out.  In another upmarket move Ryanair has revealed images of its new Boeing 737-800 interiors, featuring significantly subdued tones when compared to its previous cabin theme.

The redesign comes amid its ongoing improvement to reposition the budget airline as a 'quality' service.  In September last year, the carrier revealed it was toning down the colour design of its uniforms.

The airline will begin the refurbishment to the existing aircraft cabins this month.  It has chosen to drop the bright yellow headrests, replaced by all navy “slimline” seating designed to give passengers more space and overall better accommodation.

The airline’s latest Boeing 737-800 will feature LED lighting in the ceiling and revamped overhead lockers allowing more headroom.

The airline presently has a fleet size of around 320 aircraft which will grow by about 20 this year, the older planes returned to lessors.  It is launch customer for the Boeing 737 MAX.   www.ryanair.com
