Kimpton expands in DC

A 10th property is being opened in Washington DC by Kimpton Hotels & Restaurants next spring. The Kimpton Glover Park Hotel will replace the 154-room Savoy Suites Hotel in a tree-lined residential area along Wisconsin venue.

The building is undergoing a multi-million-dollar renovation, rebrand and redesign of all guestrooms, public areas, restaurant, outdoor and event spaces. Twenty-five of the new guestrooms have sweeping views of the National Mall and Potomac River, and 21 rooms will have kitchenettes.

The hotel's top-to-bottom transformation also includes a full-service destination-dining restaurant, a new 1,860sq ft ballroom with natural light for meetings and social events for up to 150 guests, restored outdoor gardens and a boutique-style gym.

Kimpton says the Glover Park will offer all the company's signature features, from free morning coffee, tea service and nightly hosted wine hours to custom maps of the local area. There is also free wi-fi and other perks for Kimpton Karma Rewards members.  www.gloverparkhotel.com
