Dubai's US$100m Kempinski

Majid Al Futtaim, the Dubai-based shopping mall, retail and leisure company, has unveiled the refurbished Kempinski Hotel Mall of the Emirates following a US$100m renovation project.

The project, which began in January 2012, has seen all 373 guest rooms and suites refurbished, new conference and catering facilities, the opening of three new restaurants and lounges, and the relaunch of Aspen by Kempinski, the hotel's luxury lobby lounge.

The final phase is the launch of 20 redesigned luxury Aspen Chalets overlooking Ski Dubai which are expected to open for guests shortly.

Simon Barlow, CEO of hotels at Majid Al Futtaim Properties, which operates the mall, said: “The Kempinski is the most successful hotel investment project for us.

“We are committed to keeping all our hotels fresh and relevant through ongoing investment, innovation and property renovation. This refurbishment provides guests with a new level of experience and Dubai with a new luxury landmark.”

Rooms at the hotel boast the latest smart technology and media hubs that allow guests with the touch of an iPad to control their TVs, order room service, make restaurant reservations, book spa treatments and access information and promotions.  www.kempinski.com
