A new direct service between Gatwick and Cape Town over winter 2016/17 was announced last week by Thomas Cook Airlines.
The company will operate three flights a week using its A330 fleet, departing the UK on Sundays Mondays and Thursdays from 1 December next year until 20 March 2017.
Fares will start from £699 in New Economy or £949 in TCA’s new Premium Class cabin and go on sale from tomorrow (1 December).
The development builds on the carrier’s Cancun, Cuba and Goa long-haul network from Gatwick and comes on top of new services between Manchester and New York and Miami this year, and Los Angeles and Boston next year.
Christoph Debus, chief airlines and hotels officer said: “With £100m invested in our fleet, our Premium Class cabin and new long-haul Economy standard are proving highly popular as customers become aware they can get Thomas Cook quality to long-haul destinations.”
Gatwick’s rapidly growing long-haul network now boasts more than 40 destinations on five continents. www.thomascookairlines.com
