Reshuffle at Flybe

Australian Vincent Hodder has joined Flybe as chief revenue officer following the departure today (30 November) of chief commercial officer Paul Simmons to join Malaysian Airlines. 

Simmons’ job at Flybe is being split into two, with Hodder as the first appointment. The other position of chief marketing officer, which will cover sales, marketing, customer services and PR, has yet to be filled. 

Hodder’s new job covers network, scheduling, route management, revenue management and regional commercial managers. 

A specialist in airline strategy, start-ups and turnarounds, Hodder joins Flybe from his position as managing director and principal consultant of H Squared Consulting. 

He has nearly 20 years of strategy consulting and senior airline experience across Latin America, Asia-Pacific and Africa and has held numerous senior executive roles in aviation.

They include chief commercial officer of the Mexican low-cost airline VivaAerobus, and executive director and senior VP operations for Jetstar Japan.

He is also a former executive manager for strategy and executive manager for network and planning for the Jetstar Group in Australia, and VP strategic development for TACA International Airlines, based in El Salvador and now part of Avianca.  www.flybe.com
