Stansted disabled guide

Thanks to support from owner Manchester Airport Group (MAG), Stansted Airport now has its own detailed disabled guide.  It aims to assist disabled people or anyone who would like to know more about how to get to and around the airport.

The guide is the result of an independent survey by csurveyors who looked at each stage of the passenger journey.  It takes users through the accessibility of the airport – from transport to check-in, security to departures, together with the assistance available.  It also provides detailed information – from walking distances to toilet locations, fixtures and fittings to dimensions, signage to hearing assistance and lighting.

The guide launches at a time when consumer research carried out by the Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) states that passengers with reduced mobility demonstrated a strong demand for information, such as walking distances, waiting times, number and type of accessible toilets.  Equally the guide looks to address the needs of people with a wide range of requirements and providing many essential details for people with hidden impairments.  www.disabledgo.com/stansted
