Hertz and WTM

With new Senior International Vice President Sales & Marketing Jim Mueller very visible Hertz put on an alternative show at World Travel Market (See  ON TOUR in this issue).  

Not for them the hassle of the halls.  Hertz hired the London river cruiser Silver Sturgeon for the duration, a fine location for meeting, greeting and entertaining clients, representatives and the media.  No interruptions and everything under control.

Mr Mueller joined Hertz in July and comes from a background in the airline industry with extensive experience in the Asia/Pacific, Europe, Middle East, Africa and India regions most recently as Senior Vice President, Global Sales for Etihad Airways, and previously holding international positions with United Airlines and Northwest/Delta Airlines.  

Two cars available from the revamped London Marble Arch facility have quickly caught Mr Mueller’s eye.  The Nissan LEAF, covered by BTN 13 April, and the Volvo XC90 which Auto Express says “has grown into a stylish luxury SUV contender and a strong rival for the likes of BMW’s X5, the Audi Q7 and the Range Rover. Using Scandinavian design influences, Volvo has created a refreshing new alternative to the usual choices”. www.hertz.co.uk
