Road, rail and subsidiary air services offered to Lufthansa UK passengers using Frankfurt and Munich airports are to be operated under a single 'Lufthansa Express' brand name.
High-speed ICE trains, long-distance buses, limousines and helicopter services are among travel options passengers can choose when travelling to or from the airline’s two airport hubs.
Lufthansa says bringing the various services under a single brand name simplifies the booking process for international passengers.
The current AIRail service will now be known as Lufthansa Express Rail, Lufthansa Airport Bus becomes Lufthansa Express Bus and the present Airport Shuttle service will now be marketed as Lufthansa Express Shuttle.
The new brand will also encompass the Rail & Fly service in collaboration with Lufthansa Express, as well as Lufthansa Express Helicopter and Lufthansa Express Chauffeur. A further new service – Lufthansa Express Carsharing – is expected to be added soon.
In addition to the planned expansion of Lufthansa Express Bus services to and from Munich Airport, the airline also plans to provide inbound travellers with a new Express Shuttle service to and from certain ski resort destinations. www.lh.com/express
