Turkish Airlines adds more

Miami has joined the Turkish Airlines network with a daily service as the carrier’s 12th destination in the Americas and eighth in the US.

The company already serves Buenos Aires, Sao Paulo, Toronto, Chicago, Houston, Los Angeles, New York, Washington, Boston, Montreal and San Francisco.

Turkish Airlines is known as the carrier that flies to the most countries, with 278 destinations worldwide.

Elsewhere, the carrier has officially launched direct flights between Cape Town and Istanbul and has announced it will start Durban – Istanbul service via Johannesburg this month.

The company said the daily Cape Town – Istanbul flights were introduced in response to an increase in demand for direct travel between the cities.

The development was welcomed by Patricia de Lille, Mayor of Cape Town, at the official launch of the service last Monday (26 October).

Responding, Kenan Ince, General Manager of Turkish Airlines in Cape Town, said the city was a growing first-class destination for travellers and would continue to attract business travellers in tandem with the corporate hub of Johannesburg.

With the addition of Cape Town, the airline’s Africa network now covers 43 destinations.   www.turkishairlines.com
