Liverpool's DoubleTree

Hilton Worldwide’s upmarket DoubleTree by Hilton brand has opened its first hotel and spa in Liverpool, bringing the number of its properties in the UK to 25.

Housed in the newly-restored and Grade II-listed Municipal Annexe building, dating from 1865, the hotel features sweeping staircases, Italian mosaic floors and original Corinthian columns.

It has 87 guestrooms and suites and is a short walk from Liverpool’s historic docks and the Cavern Quarter. Each room features a king- or queen-size bed and a business desk with wi-fi and ample space to work.

Each bathroom features a wet room with double steam shower, heated seating, large roll-top bath and twin basins.

Other services include a business centre, audio-visual Equipment Rental, meeting rooms and video-conferencing facilities.

The hotel also boasts Michelin-starred chef Jean-Christophe Novelli's only UK restaurant. The 130-seat outlet offers a French brasserie style menu, and will also serve the lounge, conference rooms and banqueting areas.

John Greenleaf, Global Head, DoubleTree by Hilton, said: “Liverpool is a thriving cultural, historical and commercial centre, and we're looking forward to hosting the increasing number of corporate visitors the city is seeing.”  http://doubletree3.hilton.com
