More awards for Norwegian

Norwegian, which claims to be the world’s fastest-growing airline, last week won two trophies for passenger choice at the 2015 awards ceremony at the APEX Expo in Oregon. The carrier took first place in the categories for Best in Region: Europe and Best Inflight Publication.

It was the second year in a row Norwegian has been named Best in Region: Europe by passengers.

Bjorn Kos, Chief Executive, noted that Norwegian is the only airline in Europe to offer free wi-fi across a short-haul fleet, which thousands of customers enjoyed every day, whether to work or relax. The awards reflected the airline’s determination to offer passengers the best possible experience not only in service, but also in terms of in-flight entertainment, he added.

Last month, Norwegian was named Europe’s Leading Low-Cost Airline 2015 in the World Travel Awards.

Earlier this year, the carrier was also named the World’s Best Low-Cost Long-Haul Airline and for the third consecutive year Europe’s Best Low-Cost Airline by SkyTrax.

Norwegian has named Dominic Tucker as Sales Manager UK. He will be responsible for promoting the airline’s long-haul premium services from Gatwick to business travellers. He was previously with British Airways. www.norwegian.com/uk
