Newcastle retains NY service

United Airlines’ seasonal non-stop service between Newcastle and its New York hub at Newark is to return for a second year next summer. Westbound flights will operate six times weekly between 26 May – 6 September.

United is the first carrier to offer a scheduled non-stop service to the US from northeast England, with flights timed to offer business travellers convenient access to New York City as well as connections to hundreds of destinations across the Americas.

Flight UA75 will depart Newcastle daily except Wednesdays at 09:10, arriving at New York/Newark at noon the same day. The return flight, UA74, will depart New York/Newark daily except Tuesdays at 19:20, arriving in Newcastle at 07:30 the following day. Flight times will be 7hr 50min westbound and 7hr 10min eastbound.

Services will be operated by Boeing 757-200 aircraft with 169 seats – 16 flat-beds in BusinessFirst and 153 in Economy, including 45 Economy Plus seats with extra legroom.

The Newcastle flights are timed to connect at Newark with United’s network of services to more than 300 destinations in North, Central and South America and the Caribbean, including more than 100 served non-stop. www.united.com
