Hilton’s space-age adventure

Hilton Hotels and Resorts has moved further into the space age with the opening of the Hilton Wenchang, on the east coast of Hainan Island (China). It is the first internationally-branded hotel in the community, which is known as China’s aerospace city because of its proximity to the country’s satellite launch centre.

The new property is the sixth Hilton Worldwide hotel on Hainan. It is 65km from Haikou Meilan International Airport, the first in China to have a high-speed railway connection, and 3km from the launch centre.

Features include 439 guestrooms, suites and villas and five restaurants and bars. Guests staying in executive rooms and suites have exclusive access to an executive lounge, which offers complimentary breakfast, refreshments and evening cocktails.  www.hilton.com
