UK passengers heading for Hong Kong now have another option with Scandinavian Airlines’ (SAS) introduction of flights from Arlanda, with good connections from Heathrow and Manchester.
The carrier marked the occasion of the launch by reopening its refurbished lounge at Arlanda which it says offers a smoother transfer for UK customers.
The new route gives SAS its fourth direct connection to Asia, and makes it the only airline to fly direct between Scandinavia and Hong Kong. There are five departures a week from Stockholm, on Mondays, Thursdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, leaving at 15:00 and arriving in HK at 07:20 local time.
Return flights depart HK at 09:05 on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays, arriving at Arlanda at 14:35 local.
The new-look SAS lounge at Arlanda’s Terminal 5 has two sections, one for EuroBonus Diamond and Gold members, including Star Alliance Gold, and one for those travelling in Business or SAS Plus. The facility now has an area of 1,400 sq m and has a larger buffet area, new combined meeting rooms and guest offices, travel services, a new relaxation area, workstations, toilets and showers, plus electrical outlets, charging stations and fast wireless internet. https://www.sas.se/en
