The opening of the brand new Oxford Parkway Station on 26 October will bring Oxford Airport much closer to London. No longer the long, and sometimes busy, drive to Oxford (central) Station. Oxford Parkway is just five minutes from the airport’s gate.
Parkway serves Marylebone Station connecting via 8½ miles of new track with the existing Chiltern Railways line from Birmingham at Bicester where a new station and interchange has been built.
In Spring 2016 the final part of the line between Parkway and Oxford itself will open.
“The thoroughly modern transport hub at Oxford Parkway with the new highly convenient rail link to London offers yet more choice for our London bound customers,” said Andi Alexander, Managing Director, London Oxford Airport. The new line will also offer direct services to South Ruislip (RAF Northolt) and Wembley Stadium stations. www.chilternrailways.co.uk www.oxfordairport.co.uk
